Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide day-to-day leadership of the assigned team to ensure the team safely and efficiently performs the activities related to the assembly, logistics, or quality of Caterpillar engines. Logistics Coordinator II reports to IRA section manager and will be assigned to Inventory Record Accuracy department to meet customer and company demands. This position is for data entry duties within the IRA department in Seguin.

What you will do:

  • Perform reconciliation of parts according to the IRA processes and procedures

  • Ability to work in Excel spreadsheet to input data and populate reports as needed

  • Ability to Learn Caterpillar manufacturing systems (e.g., Plex and MAMM) for inventory count reconciliation

  • Complete root cause analysis of defects discovered in the cycle count, audit and reconcile processes

  • Lead and support Caterpillar Production System Continuous Improvement activities

  • Escalate issues and the necessary resources to root cause and develop counter measures

  • Collaborate closely with Management and Team Leads and provide support to other departments as needed

  • Execute special duties and projects as directed by Section Manager and Team Lead

What you will have:

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in supply chain or inventory management

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes

  • Solid understanding of inventory control and accuracy practices

  • Experience in conducting precise and accurate inventory counts

  • Skilled in operating material handling equipment like a Fork Truck

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

What would make you a top candidate:

  • Strong skills in Excel, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office tools for data entry, reporting, and record-keeping

  • Certified to operate both stand-up and sit-down forklifts, with experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.

  • Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., Plex, SAP) and cycle counting procedures.

  • Experience performing cycle counts and auditing inventory processes to maintain accuracy and prevent issues

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex logistics and inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement solutions.

  • Proven experience in inventory reconciliation, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues to ensure accuracy

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, resolve issues, and provide support for the count team.

Summary Pay Range:

$18.50 - $22.50
