About IPSD:
The Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5,000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Caterpillar’s company strategy includes sustainability as one of four focus areas and IPSD is engaged and actively preparing green energy solutions for the future.
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a talented Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead the HR team at one of our largest production facilities in Seguin, Texas. You’ll lead a team of HR professionals who support the day-to-day people needs at our world-class manufacturing facility, with nearly 1,500 employees on site across all payrolls and functions. Your purpose is to lead, manage and contribute to the development and administration of human resources policies and procedures and be actively involved in providing strategic leadership and people solutions.
What You Will Do:
- Collaborating with management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. 
- Aligning HR policies and programs for their business unit or region which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance. 
- Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc. 
- Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management. 
- Leading team of HR professionals to collaborate effectively with other Centers of Excellence and serve as thought leaders to the business and HR. 
What You Will Have:
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Influencing: Experience in effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
Human Resources Consulting: Extensive experience in HR approaches, tools and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives.
 
Additional Information:
- This position is located in Seguin, TX and requires a 5-day-a-week in-office schedule 
- Domestic relocation is available 
- 5-10% travel is expected

Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
