Job Summary:

Caterpillar in Seguin, Texas is seeking a dynamic Tool Crib Attendant to join our Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) Department! As a Tool Crib Attendant, you will be responsible for managing and distributing tools, equipment, and supplies essential for maintaining and repairing machinery as well as supporting production needs. What you will do:
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting all maintenance and other team members with locating parts
- Disburse all parts removed/signed out from crib using Caterpillar tool crib software and tools
- Ship out parts to be repaired by outside vendors
- Put away all parts in the return parts area
- Sign and verify all paperwork for parts delivered from receiving
- Sort all deliveries, handing off purchase orders to the recipient or analyst team
- Receive all work ordered parts into the approved system
- Put away all incoming parts
- Utilize FIFO for all perishable items (chemicals & etc.) per required policies and software
- Relocate parts into cabinets, vertical storage, and racks as needed
- Contact analyst team for shortages, overages, or missing items on orders
- Complete weekly cycle counts and turn paperwork to analyst team
- Complete daily 5S, workplace approved organization method, for tool crib and desks by end of shift
- Perform any other assigned duties
What you will have:
- Minimum of 2 months' experience in a machining, manufacturing, or warehouse environment or industry certification
- Ability to obtain a forklift certification
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English
- General knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint
- Ability to adhere to safety procedures
What would make you a top candidate:
- Previous experience reading and interpreting part prints and/or schematics
- Previous experience operating a forklift
- Intermediate experience using Microsoft Excel and other Tool Crib Software
- Previous experience with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Summary Pay Range:
$18.05 - $21.10Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
