Job Description: JOURNEYMAN LINEWORKER. PAY GROUP: U21. SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for performing diversified work of erection and repair of distribution lines at all classes and voltages, including energized lines, and on structures and equipment used in the distribution of electricity. Examples of work include operating vehicles and equipment (bucket truck, digger truck, pole truck, backhoe, trencher), construction and maintenance of underground and overhead electric distribution systems, hanging transformers, installing and maintaining metering, traffic signal and street lighting equipment, training apprentices, and preventive maintenance and switching. Certificates/Licenses: State of Texas Class A (commercial) driver’s license with air brakes; CPR Certification. Starting Salary: $46.50/hour. Position will remain open until filled.
