Scope of Responsibility
Physical Therapy Assistants assist the physical therapist in performing treatment to prevent disabilities and to restore and maintain the patient’s functional capacity to an optimal level.
- Responsible to the Director of Rehabilitation Services
Education
- Must hold a current Physical Therapy Assistant license to practice in the State of Texas
Training and Experience
- One or more years of clinical practice as a physical therapy assistant in both hospital and in-patient desired
- Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers
- Ability to work with multiple medical disciplines
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer skills
