Scope of Responsibility

Single or Multi-Modality Radiologist Techs are responsible for producing quality images by utilizing proper positioning skills, using the ALARA principle for radiation safety, ensuring both patient safety and comfort during examinations.

Responsible to the Executive Director of Imaging Services and Imaging Supervisor.

  • Education
    • Complete/Pass a C.A.H.E.A. approved Radiologic Technology program that provides an Associate Degree or a 2 year certificate in radiology

  • Training and Experience
    • Must be ARRT registered or registry eligible. Registry eligible candidates may be conditionally employed as long as the test is taken and passed within one year within first year of employment
    • Must be a MRT in good standing licensed by the Texas Medical Board
    • Must obtain and maintain current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
    • Minimum one year of experience Multi-Modality preferred
    • Must obtain and maintain ARRT and MRT registries, to include required CME
