Scope of Responsibility
The Laboratory Supervisor also oversees departmental testing, quality control and other daily functions. May assist Lead Technologists in developing and maintaining appropriate reagent inventory. Will act in a teaching and/or supervisory capacity for new employees and students in accordance with the appropriate baseline skills checklist. Acts as the Laboratory Technical consultant/Technical Supervisor. Assumes supervision of the Laboratory in the absence of the Lab Director. Assists the Laboratory Director as needed.

Education
- Bachelors of science degree in Medical Technology or related field
- MT or MLS Certification by ASCP or equivalent
Training and Experience
- 2-4 years of laboratory experience with supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to perform in all areas of the laboratory department
- Working knowledge of laboratory computes and instrumentation
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, communication skills, and time-management skills, and attention to detail
- Able to perform duties and make decisions independently
