Scope of Responsibility

The Hospice Chaplain will also acknowledge and respect their beliefs, culture and values related to life's meaning including suffering and loss and a desire to receive support.

Responsible to Director of Hospice

  • Education
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) to include psychiatric experience preferred

  • Training and Experience
    • Regularly ordained minister in good standing with a regularly recognized church preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years previous parish/church ministry experience preferred
    • Previous hospital and Hospice chaplaincy experience preferred
    • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current insurance coverage
    • Must be proficient with the use of the computer and be able to learn several software applications quickly

  • Health and Background Requirements
    • Employment contingent upon successful completion of:
      • Background Check
