Scope of Responsibility

Registered Nurses provide nursing care to a group of patients for a designated time frame and will routinely lead team of care providers.

Responsible to Director of Surgical Unit

Education

      • Associates Degree Nurse or Bachelors of Science Nursing Degree

    • Training and Experience
      • Current licensure with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
      • Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers
      • Obtains and maintains ACLS within 6 months of employment
      • Obtains and maintains PALS within 12 months of employment
      • ONS training/certification for Chemotherapy Administration preferred
      • 1 year previous experience preferred

    • Health and Background Requirements
