Scope of Responsibility
Cardiovascular Technologist's (CT) will assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular ailments. CT's are also responsible for scheduling appointments, reviewing physician’s interpretations and patient files, and monitoring patient’s heart rates. Other duties to include are operating and caring for testing equipment, explaining test procedures, and reviews findings to identify problems.
Responsible to Director of Cath Lab
Education
- High school graduate or equivalent
Training and Experience
- Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Healthcare Provider, within 90 days of hire
- At least 2 years of interventional Cath Lab experience
- Certification/licensure RCIS preferred
- Formal cardiovascular technology training preferred
