Scope of Responsibility

Provides nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed professional. Assists the surgical team in performing surgical procedures by maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, stabilizing equipment and properly handling specimens..

Responsible to Director of Birthing Center

Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent

Training and Experience

    • Current licensure with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
    • Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
    • Obtain and maintains American Academy of Pediatrics NRP within 4 months of employment
    • 1 year previous experience preferred
