Scope of Responsibility

The Personal Trainer is also responsible for teaching proper forms for exercises, demonstrates the different moves and positions of the particular method, and observes and corrects those who are doing the exercises improperly. Responsible for ensuring that sessions are motivating, safe and challenging.

Responsible to the Community Wellness Director & Parisi Speed School Director

Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field preferred

Training and Experience

    • Certified Personal Trainer from one of the following required: ACSM, NSCA, NASM or other agency approved by Director
    • Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider and AED Certification within 30 days of hire
    • Group Fitness Instructor certification by AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, CSCS or equivalent as per Director preferred
    • 1 -2 years Group Fitness/Personal Training experience preferred
