Scope of Responsibility

The Group Fitness Instructor is also responsible for teaching proper form for exercises, demonstrating the different moves and positions of the particular method, and observe and corrects those who are doing the exercises improperly. Responsible for ensuring that classes are motivating, safe and challenging.

• Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelors’ degree preferred
• 
  Training and Experience
• Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider and AED Certification within 30 days of hire
• Group Fitness Instructor certification by AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, CSCS or equivalent as per Director preferred
• 1 -2 years Group Fitness/Personal Training experience preferred
•
