***NOTE: Looking for experienced technician that is familiar with performing deburring operations on tight tolerance, aerospace machined parts. Gear Teeth familiarity preferred. Minimum 4 years deburring experience in similar applications required***

**NOTE: Starting pay is negotiable and will be based on skillset/incoming experience.**

Job position: Deburr Metal Finishing Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deburring, cleaning and removing sharp edges and chamfering parts by using electrical/air/hand tools.
• Polishing metal components to provide a quality product that surpasses our customers’ expectations
• Works hand-in-hand with machinists, and the QC department to improve part quality
• Uses problem solving skills in trying new techniques to deburr/clean/polish otherwise inaccessible areas
• Self-inspect work and strive for consistent quality within same-part work orders and between similar parts and materials
• Good hand eye coordination is important in this function
• Maintain clean working environment
• Identify and notify our Quality team of potential defects or non-conforming material
• May occasionally perform special projects; Perform other duties as assigned

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work from blueprints, sketches and detailed instruction
• Good organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
• Ability to use common inspection measurement tools, such as Calipers, Micrometers
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and symbols - must have strong GD&T skills
• Experience with continuous improvement a plus.

Experience:

• Experience inspecting parts and using inspection tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers)
• Experience working to very close tolerances
• Ability to read blue prints with GD&T
• Good understanding of shop math
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager. Works in conjunction with Sales, Procurement, Engineering, and Production departments to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $32.00 per hour
