Job Description
Essential Job Functions
- Works in a team environment providing EHS support to all departments.
- Support the job safety analysis (JSA) program.
- Support delivery of the toolbox talks program.
- Assist in the development and execution of regulatory required and ancillary training for new hires, employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Conduct inspections and necessary follow-up for site compliance calendar conformity.
- Conduct contractor EHS observations and inspections, and coordinate resolution of findings.
- Collect and analyze data from Pocket Card program and provide necessary employee feedback.
- Assist in data collection and analysis for compliance reporting and EHS department KPIs – e.g., OSHA, TCEQ, corporate data calls.
- Assist in the development and deployment of regulatory programs – e.g., LOTO, HCP, HazCom.
- Participate in incident investigation process; coordinate control root cause(s) with stakeholders to prevent incident re-occurrence.
- Support the implementation of improvement and corrective measures related to employee feedback and incidents.
- Function as permanent member of employee EHS Committee.
- Function as a first aid first responder and responder and advisor for environmental spills.
- Conduct industrial hygiene sampling and operate industrial hygiene equipment.
- Assist and conduct ergonomic assessments and deliver sustainable corrective actions to stakeholders.
- Perform administrative functions related to ensuring site regulatory and corporate compliance.
Qualifications – External Qualifications:
- Four years related experience with plant operations or other industrial setting.
- Proven knowledge and skill in performing listed essential job functions.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and/or alternate shifts as required.
- Must be able to travel from time to time including overnight, as required.
- Associate degree in EHS related study program preferred.
Certifications/Training – must provide proof of training:
- RCRA
- OSHA 30-hr, General Industry
- First Aid-CPR-AED
- Bloodborne pathogens
- Forklift/manlift operator or trainer
- LOTO
Working Conditions
Will be required to work within the plant – factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat. Must adhere to PPE requirements as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area.
