Job Description

Essential Job Functions

Includes the following.

Ensure and promote all plant safety rules. Maintain paint system and paint kitchen equipment. Carry out all prescribed housekeeping, clean and maintain spray bells and guns. Actively works with floor personnel to ensure quality product. Notify Supervisor immediately of safety and quality problems. 5S and cleaning activities. Fanuc P250 robot operation and monitoring. Perform daily check sheets and process control. Maintain and perform all paint kitchen operations, maintain robots, and paint booth. Bring paint in to spec before loaded to recirculation line. Paint and application performance monitoring. Robotic spray booth monitoring. Perform spray performance on defined time basis. Sludge pit and sludge disposal equipment monitoring. Disposal of hazardous materials. Inventory monitoring. Perform maintenance and repair activities pertained to the paint system. Responsible for rebuilding paint related equipment. Paint testing and checks defined by final customer or process. Run DataPaq and file results. Keep paint system in compliance with quality system and control plan. Operate cap system and robot faults recovery. Forklift operation required. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Language Skills- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills- Competence in personal computer Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, e-mail) and familiar with other database related software.

Experience

Technical education is required.

Education

Experience on operating Fanuc robots. Experience on process control and monitoring. PLC and controls is a plus.

Working Conditions

Will be required to work within the plant – factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat. Must adhere to PPE requirements as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area.
