Job Description
Essential Job Functions
Supervision and coordination of work activities of hourly production employees. Feedback daily defects to management personnel and production employees. Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations to employees. Establish and adjust manpower to meet production schedules. Maintain time and production records. Administer disciplinary action as needed. Inspection of products to verify conformance to specification and problem resolution/general maintenance of machinery. Recommend measures to improve efficiency as it relates to production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Set up containment when required. Communicate shop floor problems/defects to the personnel responsible for corrective action. Contribute to the achievement of quality/management objectives by ensuring that quality policies, procedures, and processes are followed. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance related to product, process, and quality systems. Identify and record any problems related to the product, process, and quality system. Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. Participate, comply, and support the environmental, health and safety system requirements.
Qualifications

- Language Skills- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills- Competence in personal computer Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, e-mail) and familiar with other database related software.
Experience
- Five years prior experience in Quality Assurance (Preferred) or a combination of equivalent education, experience and training with the necessary knowledge and skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Experience in quality management systems.
- Experience in quality system audits.
- Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.
Education
A high school diploma or equivalent, BS Degree in leadership and supervision desired.
Working Conditions
Will be required to work within the plant – factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat. Must adhere to PPE requirements as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area.
