Take birds from the hanging belt and hang by both legs into a shackle.
Job Synopsis:
The live hanger position involves:
- Removing a bird from the hanging belt by grasping a chicken first by one leg and then the other leg.
- Positioning the bird breast side away from the hanger.
- Hanging the bird by both legs into a picking shackle.
- Throwing DOAs (Dead on Arrival) onto the floor behind the workstation.
Production Rate:
- The rate of production for this position will vary.
- The highest production rate expected is 28 birds per minute.
Requirements:
Prior Employee Waiting Period:
- Must have 90 days from the last term date.
Number of Times Worked at Tyson:
- If terminated 3x or more not eligible for rehire.
