General Information:
Develop and maintain strong working relationships across the Supply Chain. Effectively communicate across a wide variety of internal customers and external suppliers through crisp, clear, and continuous communication.
Your Responsibilities:
Order Management
- Create and maintain distinct purchase orders (POs) and schedule agreements (SAs) for raw material used to produce the final product.
- Participate in award share changes of components between suppliers.
- Analyze increases and decreases to the suppliers considering lead time and transit time.
- Maintain master data settings for raw material part numbers.
Shortage Management
- Identify critical shortages impacting production, communicate with suppliers, and escalate to management.
- Expedite component deliveries as necessary.
- Update shortage management tools based on supplier feedback and monitor ASNs and inbound shipments.
- Participate in daily shortage review meetings between production schedulers and material planners for information and communication.
- Follow the material shortage management (MSM) process when a supplier cannot support, including checking for relabels, inter-company or distribution purchases, consulting the design team for alternatives, and creating an LDAN (line down advanced notification).
- Request premium freight shipments as needed using the Cargobase tool to request carrier quotes and the SOFA tool to request premium freight approval.
- Schedule and lead escalation calls with the supplier when no delivery information has been provided or a supply gap has been identified.
- In parallel, the material planner is expected to escalate all shortages with potential to impact production requirements to department management.
Inventory Management
- Review and maintain proper component inventory levels related to DOH.
- Actively collaborate with Advanced SCM to identify excess inventory, develop actions to control inventory on a component basis, issue Logistic Complaints for over shipments, and request an RMA (return material authorization).
- Manage appropriate consignment component inventory levels to prevent aged material.
- Internal Interaction
- Collaborate with Receiving to address packing slip discrepancies and generate hot sheets.
- Support with AP (Finance) to resolve payment issues by rectifying goods receipts problems, escalating credit hold concerns, and submitting PERs (Payment Exception Requests).
- Review inter-company requests for the sale of parts and draft the request for shipment.
- Communicate with production team (FFM, Production Manager, Scheduler, Production Material Planner, Production Supervisors) of an impending line shutdown and provide shipment details.
- Collaborate with internal requests for packaging changes with electronic suppliers (reel size).
- Drive communication between Plant Purchasing and Category Purchasing Management regarding supplier escalations (shortages, tariffs, overstock, etc.).
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Preferred emphasis in Business, Materials, or Technology) or 5 years of experience in SCM.
- 3-5 years hands on SAP experience.
- Proficient in MS-tools, specifically Excel.
- High stress environment.
- Possibility of occasional travel.
- Ability to lift 28 pounds.
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of analytical and problem-solving skills.
