Your Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for organizing and training daily activities of an autonomous Warehouse Team Lead made up of 4-8 Material Handlers.
  • Support the manufacturing operation by providing accurate/detailed information to inventory to resolve discrepancies and delivery issues.
  • When asked to participate in all warehouse/inventory issues, emphasize building the most efficient combination team to meet customer requirements.
  • Assign or move personnel to positions when team members call in or are on vacation or other absences.
  • Prepare intercompany raw material shipments as requested, as per the established procedures.
  • Prepare draft work instructions and submit them to the supervisor, and ensure personnel adhere to stable processes.
  • Leads the team’s daily start-up meeting, assigns work, and establishes job rotation.
  • Maintain documentation to ensure inventory accuracy, customer ratings, error tracking, and other departmental goals are met.
  • Assist in special projects and assignments as required.
  • Actively participates in cost reduction, continuous improvement, housekeeping, and team activities.
  • Coordinate stockroom physical inventories and ensure all materials are systematically in WIP but physically in the stockroom, and Milk Run locators are returned to stock.

Your Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Material Handler
  • Familiar with warehouse operations, cycle counting, and excellent problem- solving skills,
  • Forklift operating experience
  • Training Logistic TPM I, PIT completion, and Leadership class
  • Leadership skills.
  • Have a very good understanding of SAP
  • Must be able to work night shift, rotational shift.
  • Must understand, read, write and communicate in English.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and stand for periods of up to 12 hours.
  • Must have the capability to push, pull, reach, twist, turn, stoop, walk, and stand for extended periods.
