About the Role:
The Injection Molding Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all molded products meet precise specifications and quality standards. The operator will be responsible for setting up machines, monitoring production runs, and making necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and reduce waste. Collaboration with quality control and maintenance teams is essential to troubleshoot issues and maintain smooth production flow. Ultimately, the role contributes directly to the timely delivery of products that meet customer expectations and support the company’s operational goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating injection molding machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Basic understanding of machine operation, safety procedures, and quality control standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as work orders and blueprints.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in injection molding or plastics manufacturing.
- Experience with troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs on injection molding equipment.
- Familiarity with computerized machine controls and data entry systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate injection molding machines according to production schedules and specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the production cycle, making adjustments as needed.
- Inspect molded parts for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to prevent downtime and extend equipment life.
- Document production data, machine settings, and any issues encountered during shifts.
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to resolve equipment malfunctions and quality concerns.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

GMP & PPE Required:
While on the production floor in the plant you will be required to follow and help to enforce all GMP regulations in the plant. Anyone entering the production floor must follow the GMP rules in their employee handbook, which includes the required hairnets, beard nets, and earplugs. It is also required that all personnel wear safety glasses. Follows standard operating procedures including quality checks and procedures for all operations. Meets food safety and quality objectives and the requirements of the SQF System.
